My PC has total of 4 ports of which 2 appear to be slow connections ie USB 1.0. I wish to replace the ports with new pair of USB ports for USB 2.0

You should be able to buy a USB2.0 addin card fairly easily. - windows should recognize it at startup and add it.

Maybe there is something wrong with that cable line, buy another USB cable box and then just connect it in the slot where you had the other plug ...USB is an extention where you can add (digital camera, web-cam, Etc:) This should work as I went from a 2 line USB box to a 6 line, and I do not have any kind of problems..

you could buy a pci card with USB 2's and fit it
but the best way would be to buy a powered USB 2 hub (4 or 6 ports) and plug this into one of your USB 2 ports.
as it is powered it will not take its power from your pc

the least difficult way is to purchase a USB hub. it is an exterior container that has countless USB ports on it and connects to a USB port on the laptop (maximum have exterior ability resources besides). you may also purchase a PCI USB enlargement card which inserts contained in the laptop's case.

just buy a usb2.0 card in the nearby store(200RS.) AND THEN BUY A USB 2.0 HUB

buy a pci card and all you then have to do is insert it in to the slot in the mobo and install the saftware you then can use it for all the usb.

just go to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and search for usb pci card. just make sure that you have your OS cd ready (unless your on XP which is pretty much plug and play (you should still have the OS cd ready))

yes you may by buying an extension slots for USB which will be connected to your computer through its PCI slot.
