I guess it depends on the colors of your wedding and the season.

Here are some colors I like for different seasons.

Spring/Summer: Buttercup-Yellow, Mint-Green, Pale-Pink
Fall: Cranberry-Red, Gold, Chocolate-Brown
Winter: Silver, Navy, Cranberry-Red, Gold

I have never been married, but I imagine a soft yellow would look very nice, especially if it were a spring or summer outdoor wedding. I was just in a wedding where the dresses were a coral color, and that also looked very pretty. Lavendar/periwinkle or maybe a seafoom green could be nice too.

Purple not really BRIGHT but some light share in the purple family
and gold....
HERE IS WHY:

Purple
Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.

According to surveys, almost 75 percent of pre-adolescent children prefer purple to all other colors. Purple is a very rare color in nature; some people consider it to be artificial.

Light purple is a good choice for a feminine design. You can use bright purple when promoting children's products.

Light purple evokes romantic and nostalgic feelings.
Dark purple evokes gloom and sad feelings. It can cause frustration.

That depends on the time of year for the wedding. You would want to use brighter shades for Spring and Summer and darker shades for Fall and Winter.
