The UN ceasefire is completely dependant on the multinational force that is still several days away from being combat ready and relocating all its forces into the region. Hezbullah will not stop attacking Israeli forces until they have all pulled out of Lebanese territory. Conversely Israel will not leave Lebanon until the multinational force is in place of the Lebanese army proves they are an effective tool against Hezbullah, which they have not yet proven. Thus at least for the time being the ceasefire is simply a piece of paper that the UN hopes will calm nerves and at least motivate the parties involved to consider the ideas placed in front of them by the international community. While there are many lofty ideas here there is no way logistically that this ceasefire is a viable solution to the current problems, which by the way are only a continuation of the problems faced in the mid-eighties in Lebanon.

There will be more fighting unless a non-UN force with the ability to forcably disarm Hezbollah comes in soon. Israel will not leave until that point and Hezbollah considers any Israelis in Lebanon legitimate targets. And Israel will most definitely retaliate to any attacks.

Of course Israel should not finish the job. This is not a builders contract. There are thousands of people's lives here! Israel is determined to kill and destroy. They may have agreed to a ceasefire but they have said that they will do anything to destroy Hezbollah. Which means they will continue to kill and destroy the people of Lebanon.

No. The only way a cease fire will work is if every last terrorist and supporter of terrorism is dead. Lets hurry up and kill the butt heads.

Not at all. Hezbos will violate it, being undisciplined murderers, and then the IDF will continue with wiping them out.
Does anybody doubt this?
