I personally feel Missouri's current laws for young drivers are pretty good. They get their license at 16 but yet if they get too many tickets or anything like that they will lose their license till they are 21. They have a point system and they can only get 6pts before they lose their license. I have 3 cousins that are 16 now and 1 18yr old and they all but one drive very reasonably b/c they don't want to lose their license. The one that was being kinda reckless got himself 4 pts worth of tickets already and then he found out about the pt. system so he has changed his driving considerably. As far as our elderly I know they have been driving for longer than I have been alive and so but I still think there should be limitations. Elderly folks cause alot of accidents too. I feel it needs to be mandatory for them to have eye exams and such health exams at least twice a year to make sure it's still safe for them to drive. As for us in betweeners LOL I feel we all should have some sort of pt system so that way drivers are all a little more cautious about their driving. I was in a head on collision car accident about a year ago b/c someone was in my lane. I all most lost my daughter b/c of that idiot. People need to be more cautious with their driving.

Elderly should not be able to drive in my opinion - however you can't base something on age as some elderly are competent. They should be required to pass more strict tests, the same for middle age and young people.
Fact is that most people on the road can't drive well at all and nothing will ever be done about it.

The presiding choose will ask you for a plea. you may in basic terms answer 'to blame with a proof' or not to blame. Be arranged to describe why your sister (who with a bit of luck is a qualified driving force OVER the age of 21) did not propose you of the mandatory give up. New California rules require that drivers with in basic terms a enable be observed with the aid of a qualified driving force over the age of 21. good luck.

I we have a law for seniors that says you can't drive after a certain age, how will they get groceries, to the bank and anywhere else they want to go. Are you volunteering to cart all the seniors around so they can do their errands just like you do yours. What if they want ot go see a movie are you going to pick them up and drop them off. This countries public transportation system is not what it should be to move people to where they want to go especially in rural areas. Well are you volunteering?

How about this. After the age of 70, you have to return to the DMV for a driving test every two years.

It is a concern to a lot of people with elderly parents. Some elderly people can drive just fine. Some need to have their licenses revoked. I don't think someone's license should be taken away just because of age, but they should have to pass another test every few years.

yes,but it is difficult to say an exact range because there may be some people who are older, but can drive much better than the drivers in that age range.

I think everyone should be tested every 10 years, if you fail you get a conditional licence after age 65 you get tested every 5 years and at 75 every year. After 75 if you fail you can no longer drive.
