It counts if you have, or the other person has the desired emotional reaction.
It counts when you realize someone is in for the long haul.
It counts when you smile to yourself
It counts in those rare, yet magical moments when words cannot describe what is happeneing.
It counts when people believe in you when you don't feel it yourself.
It counts when I realize I have gotten at least one phone call per week from someone for six years now

When you put your heart into it.When you put everything you have into it,regardless if you win or not.Just like a Marine who gives everything he's got and gets shot.Does this mean his service doesn't count? NEVER!

when "it" makes me nauseated in a good way. or i allow "it" to make me overly emotional, overly for me anyway.
