google earth only works well if you live in or near a city. If you live in the middle of the country somewhere, you may not get a clear picture. Google Earth puts a bunch of pictures together and some of the pictures are not of good quality.

I downloaded Google Earth. They have a free version and some other versions that cost you money. I got the free version.
My brother lives in Columbus, OH. I typed his address in and I got a pic of his neighborhood while under construction and it pointed out a vacant lot where his house is. He's lived there for 4 years now.

Google Earth has satellite images of near anywhere on earth, so it is a great place to find an image of your house, or maps to other people's houses.

Google Earth or go to Ask.com under maps and directions. I have a magnifier and I can almost see me in the picture waving. Of course it's only my imagination, but I always have to wave back. :)

im not sure but corbis.com might have some but i would download google earth but i dont think you can take still images
