see if your mom or dad can take you there first to become familiar with the school and where your classes will be and, if you have your schedule already, your routine. Practice opening your lock at home. your parents, most likely, are to supply you with one that you take with you and put on the locker your school assigns to you. You can have a key lock or if you prefer, a combination lock. Also, you won't get in trouble if you are a little late to classes the first day, so relax. They know it's an adjustment. All the other kids are nervous, too. Every one is when there is change, no matter how old you are. One more thing, there should be orientation. Go to that as well!!!!

It depends what type of locker it is. Anyway, just relax and take a deep breath. You'll be fine. Middle school is like a mini-version of high school in my opinion. It prepares you socially for what's to come and more. If you're smart acidemically and get good grades, keep that up too. As long as you have friends [which you more than likely will], you'll be fine. Oh yea and don't start worrying about guys until at least 8th grade k?

this is coming from a 12 year old, i started middle school 2 yrs ago. it really isnt that bad, just relax, try to make friends, and be nice to everyone. after a month you'll realize that your school isnt that big and opening a locker is a piece of cake. to open a locker twist it to the right and stop at the first #, then twist to the left and stop at the second #, then twist to the right again and stop and the third # you'll hear a click then pull. easy as that.
Good Luck!!!

You'll be fine. I was scared by the whole locker thing, but thankfully my older cousin helped me. Most of them you just lift up on the handle but all the ones at my daughters middle school have combination locks built in. Just remember there's a couple hundred other scared kids.

Don't worry. It's not that big of a deal. You'll get used to it. Here's some advice:
1. Be nice to everyone.
2. Be a friend to everyone.
3. Be a good student.
4. Don't let people make fun of you.
5. Smile.
6. Enjoy your middle school years.
7. Participate in activities.
Good luck in middle school.

Middle school is very scary if it is your first time. Just remember that "everyone" is feeling just about the same way as you are. You are not the only one that is scared.
Middle school kids can be really cruel sometimes. Understand that they do it to everyone. Even the "popular" ones get teased. Just keep your confidence up, even if you have to fake it. If "they" smell that you are nervous, "they" will pounce on you. Just relax and stay cool. You will be fine!

It is fine if you do that. just be you. that worked last year. i am going into my 2nd year at middle school. it isn't bad also, there are directions to a locker. each locker is different
