IS NOT DEAD

Hip-Hop never died. It's not even on a respirator. You know why? Because all good hip-hop has always come from the underground. The only reason people consider old school hip-hop the best was that it didn't used to be mainstream. When you heard a hip-hop song on the radio in the late 80's, early 90's, it had first traveled through the underground or fought really hard battles against executive who were afraid of hip-hop. Now, mainstream hip-hop is orchestrated for mass consumer consumption. Underground hip-hop is still good and very expressive of it's region.

hip hop is evolving just like every other kind of music.

Hip hop used to be DJ JAzzy Jeff and now it is what it is.

Pop used to be the jackson five and now it britney Spears

Rock was Elvis and now is CReed/

Music constantly changes, but the change is slow enough that the genres stay the same
