I read a while back taking aspirin ewill help deter Deep Vein Thrombosis on long haul flights? Is it true? Anyone any articles i can read through?

It can help as aspirin is an anti platelet however, DVT is a little more complicated than that. DVT is rarely a function of platelet actions but as other clotting factors in addition to platelets. The effects of Aspirin on DVT for plane flights have never been studied as far as i know but providing that you have no allergic reactions to aspirin, it will provide a little piece of mind as well as make your head feel better. Aspirin may have some benefits but getting up and walking around, flexing legs and feet while sitting, these will be far more effective for you on those long haul flights.

It can help. So can working the muscles of the lowere legs by flexing, extending the ankle and knees.

they're not certain, but it can't hurt (unless you're a hemophiliac, or the like).
