The Simpsons
It is timeless. As a cartoon, it is able to more easily offer satire on controversial topics (South Park also does this, but The Simpsons did if first so that is why it gets my nod for best show ever).

The Simpsons because it's been around for years and even though the characters have remained the same age, they always manage to fit something current into the shows.

For the Western fan it would have to be "Gun Smoke". It was more original, say more than "Bonanza".
Comedy would have to be without doubt " The Honeymooners" with Jackie Gleason; with "All in the Family", a close second.l

Family Guy, because it is halarious and it has 2 of the funniest: Stewie & Peter. It is such a funny show and it is sweet!

got to be Seinfeld, what else was like that before it? honestly, what else is like it now? what else could be that simple and be that funny? 2nd the andy griffith show, when exactly will that show stop being funny? every generation loves it and embraces it.
