No I doubt it, although there is a small amount of Platinum inside.

Depends on the condition of it. It just a a platinum catalyst so it doesn't wear out. You can probably sell it on Ebay if it's not too rusty.

NOPE! I didnt know that until this weekend, I need a new one for my van and called a couple junk yards. They told me its against the FCC (?) regulations and used ones cant be sold. I dont know why though, I dont really know anything about cars.

Probably not. If your state does not perform emissions testing then you don't even need them anymore and they can be cut off without ever worrying again.
