Is there a way to control mood swings through out prregnancy? I was looking for maternity clothes and nothing fit. So i got upset and started feeling like crying and then misplaced my feelings and got mad at my poor boyfriend. He is so confused and it doesn't seem fair to him, but I can't seem to stop myself from getting worked up. :(

To the individual that decided to tell me what order to live my life in:

Really. I don't know what I would have done without your ever so intelligent judgements of me and my relationship. I mean after all, your beliefs are the only true beliefs. And while I am sure that you make every attempt to live strictly by those beliefs, there are those of us that do not follow your same path. So even though your society tells you what is right and wrong and you follow those guidlines blindly, there are those of us that choose to live our lives differently. I know it may be frustrating and confusing to someone who refuses to see past their hypocritical lives, but I have every confidence that, someday, you will be able live life happily. Good luck to you and all like you.

Oh I had the same problem! Actually just a couple weeks ago I was shopping for nursing bras with my husband and got so frustrated when I couldn't find one that fit right that I started crying right there in the dressing room. My poor husband had no idea what to say to make it better and I ended up storming out of the mall like a toddler throwing a tantrum! Just know that it's only a phase and will go away and be sure to apologize to your boyfriend when you've calmed down and try to explain what you were feeling...it will help him understand that you really didn't mean to take it out on him and that you are trying to control it :)
Good luck and hope your emotions settle down soon!!!

Yeah... no there's no way to controls those, it's called out of whack hormones, I remember (after the fact) that my best friend said I was a complete witch during my wedding (I was 3 months pregnant at the time) I thought it was the stress of the wedding, didn't realize until I got pregnant for the 2nd and 3rd time that NOPE I just act that way when I'm pregnant, I used to get mad at people who "cut me off" from three blocks away, or I'd get raging mad at the person who wanted to drive 2 miles under the speed limit right in front of me. And my poor husband, he had to put up with me too, I went from horny to mad in 3 seconds flat, poor guy didn't know whether to boink me or run!!! Fortunately this is usually a temporary thing (SOME people are b*tches on a permenant basis), and most people are aware that pregnancy not only makes weird changes in your body but your mood as well. Tell your boyfriend (when you're not worked up) that you aren't honestly trying to take it out on him, but you have a hard time controlling yourself, and you hope you don't do anything that hurts his feelings, and tell him thanks for being such a good sport and putting up with you!!!

If there was a way to control pregnancy mood swings, my husband would've put us in the poor house trying to get the "remedy." Unfortunatly, that's just the way it is. Those vicious little pregnancy hormones do a number on our emotions/moods. Don't worry about your boyfriend..he probably realizes it's the baby talking. It might get better during your 2nd trimester, only to rear it's ugly head during the last weeks of your pregnancy.

Incidently, maternity clothes are probably designed by men...since they rarely fit correctly and can frustrate you beyond belief. Your feelings are normal...so don't worry. And don't worry about your bf. The girlfriend he knows and loves will come back in "due" time.

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!!

Don't even go there...
I SO remember how you are feeling! Like regular shirts didn't quite fit right, always too tight in the wrong spots, but trying on maternity shirts makes you feel huge and embarrassed (or at least for me, anyway). Feels like nothing fits right, and you'd rather sit home in your pjs than have to find something you can wear outside of the house.
My only advice is try not to concentrate on it too much, be proud of your body and realize it won't be this way forever. Embrace it while you have it. (easier said than done, obviously) Try to think of things that make you happy, or go do something that will make you happy after such an experience.

Of course you'r confused. But it began before pregnancy. The instructions go like this:

1. Convert bf#1 to Husband #1 thru religious or civil procedure
2. Then get pregnant

This is about the WORST case of PMS you will ever have. Please have patience & help your BF to understand that it's all the hormones. There's really not much you can do to avoid it, except to understand what's happening and recognize that it WILL happen. Apologize to the ones you snap at, and try to take a bunch of deep breaths when you feel yourself getting out of control.

Good luck.

Not really. I mean, you can try to curb it if you feel yourself getting irrational, but it's the hormones talking.

The best thing to do is just apologize to your boyfriend and try to do better next time.

If you feel yourself getting worked up about something, step away to be by yourself for awhile so you can calm down.
