I suggest researching this yourself, for two reasons. The most important reason being that you'll retain much more by doing the research yourself. The second reason is that metal effects the Earth in so many ways, both major and minor, that there's not likely to be anyone who actually wants to type it all up for you here.

I'll give ya one, though......the Earth's core is made up primarily of liquid Iron ore, so no metal, no gravity and we fly off into space.

metal won't decay hence affect the ecosystem
