Of course you should. Some poeple are loners but they have a distant friend or two. What is he hiding? Maybe he has been betrayed before but he could have some acquaintances. You know we are judged by the company we keep so how can you really get to know him if he doesn't have any friends? On a lighter note it may be good for you because you will not have any friends to compete with for his time and attention because they can be in the way sometimes.

No ... most likly its a case of his mates all coupled up and now in coupledom only he was no good at chatting up girls... Most likley senario that...

Think in school or uni you ar surrounded by those your age,

All single but in 30s most are coupeld up and abondoned their mates...

Then nasty folk like you kick them when they are down treateing them like a freak.

if people that age go postal and hurt folk its not as weak but as they get fed up being hurt and lonly and treated bad...

The way people stay normal ais having friends and poepl being nice.

Also think club 18-30 fo what to the 36 year olds do?

He sounds like he really needs friends and a life and a social life and very hurt...

Its VERY hard to make new friends unless in a stiuation thats startying ie first week in uni when nobody has a set of freiends so make new ones... After that say in a pub cleaoply are inly in their goup of mates... no mxing...

Likewise his mates may have benn tied up with his girlfriend so when a relationship split up he lost all his friends...

Plus he may have been in a couple and no mates which is finer till it breaks up...

how would you like it?

i assume you mean wary - weary being something we can all be of anyone!! I dont think the fact that he has no friends in itself is reason to be wary.

You should always tread carefully with anyone you dont know well but their social status is something which you would bear in mind but the reason for their social status would be possiby more telling. Find out why. Is it his choice? has he moved away from his social circle? Is he shy? Does he have social issues? None of these are reasons to be wary. Obviously there are other reasons why he may be isolated for which you must look out and judge for yourself.

That would be me then!

I hope not, but it depends how he is around you. My friends range in age from 21 through to 53. I get on quite well with the 21 year old, but see her more as a 'daughter figure' than anything else. She's too young to socialise with as people just take you for a dirty perv!

If you get to know more about him you may find he isn't at all as you believed but just doesn't talk about himself much.

Do you mean weary, or wary?

Either way, no - not on that criteria alone. If there's something to be worried about, it will be in his personality. Not everybody is able to make friends easily - especially if when they meet someone they're wary of him for not having any friends...

Maybe he is very shy. Or maybe something has happened in his life that makes him less trusting of people. Give the guy a chance. Good luck x

I think you should be a little wary. He may have no friends because he's very shy, or because he's not very good at relationships. (Even if it's the former, he's going to be inexperienced at relationships.) Give him a shot. You'll know soon.

maybe he has just gotten divorced or recently separated
maybe he prefers his own company
maybe he is fussy about who he keeps company with
get to know his situation a bit better, is he bothered by the situation or does he seem happy?
maybe he has difficulty maintaining friendships with people. doesn't make him a bad person
