I've been dating a guy for over two months now, but I was wondering at what point we stop dating and become boyfriends? Is there a particular set time for that and if so, when?

Of course I've been exclusive with him this entire time, at least on my side, in case y'all wanted to know.

As already stated, this is totally a communication thing. Communication is required to be boyfriends anyway, so I would also recommend talking to him about it. In my opinion, if he is being exclusive as well, you guys sre pretty much boyfriends anyway if it's been two months.

This is not YOUR decision, it is between the two of you, isn't it? You have no idea if he feels the same, if he has been 'exclusive,' whatever that means. But it is very easy to find out if you have an affair going on, is it going somewhere, is it exclusive, etc. ASK! You may be wasting a lot of time and not know it. Good luck

I think it's something the two of you have to talk about, and decide between yourselves.
As far as I know, there isn't a length of time where you can call someone your boyfriend (or girlfriend)-- I've always just asked the other person if they want to be exclusive.

Then again, some people hate labels!

I think two people have to have some kind of discussion before they put an exclusive label on their relationship. It depends on what the word "boyfriend" means to you though. I'm sure other people who know you would call you boyfriends. But if it means seeing each other exclusively, and you're not sure he is, you'd better ask him!

Hmm I don't think there is a set in stone time... I think it is something you and him have to talk about and decide... if its a monogamous relationship then I think its safe to say he's your boyfriend... or even if its an open relationship and he is your primary interest... but its something that is not defined by time but instead by a mutual decision
