ASPCA. They rescue countless animals every year. So many are abused and neglected and would die without their help.

My favorite "charity" is to try to help those in my own community who need the help. I beleive charity should start at home, and there are plenty of people in my own complex where I live that could use the support and to know that we care about them too, just as much as people in other parts of the world.

My favorite charity has always been trying to keep so many people from being homeless. The US is supposed to be the richest county in the world. We shouldn't have so many people sleeping out on the streets. I know a lot of it is by choice due to laziness. But a lot of homelessness is because of cut backs of jobs; people living paycheck to paycheck and also the seemingly the government not caring.

I'm an old believer that charity begins at home first. I am sick to death watching people in a grocery store using food stamps for food and turn around and pay cash for cigarettes or beer. Other then that my favorite charity is children in hospitals.

Teen Challenge is a GREAT chrarity! They help teens and young folks get out of trouble and become respetable young men & women! It started in the 60's & 70's in New York City, and now it's all over America. Check out "The cross & the switchblade" for the story of the founding man that started it all! There's a movie and book by that title!

Any charity that helps kids or teens, especially under-privileged or single-paented ones go to summer camp for a couple of weeks. I was one of those kids, so I can talk! It helped my mom because it was one less mouth to feed. It helped me see another part of life that I would't have seen otherwise and I could get my head straight for two weeks.

Make a wish foundation. It sent one of the kids to the country music awards a couple of years ago who had cancer. This person died last year. Can you imagine what this teen must of felt to be seated with all the stars... Children's Miracle Network is also a great one.

St Judes, they help little ones that can't help themselves no matter what. If u r poor they will take you and help you. It is devastating when a child gets cancer, this hospital also puts the parents up so they can be close to thier children during treatment. Amen
