My house has stucco around the foundation. It is a few years old, and we recently discovered that the builders didn't seal around these foundation windows. They just applied stucco up to the edges of the windows (which are vinyl) and there is now a small gap between the stucco and the window frame. (The rest of the house is siding, and those windows are sealed.) How do I go about sealing these basement/foundation windows? I know you have to be careful with stucco.

Most builders will have a 1-5 yr warranty. 1st call them and see what they say. If you live in a subdivision where more homes like yours are around ask your neighbors. If more than one person has the issue you can all gang up on the builder. Don't do anything to it yet as you may void a warranty

Like the first answer use a good caulk you want a color that matched the stucco because thats the part you see looking strait on. Use a silicon base caulk that is paintable.

Caulking? Just seal them with caulking. Why on Earth do you have to be careful with stucco?
What else mystifies you?

Thats actually quite common...depending on the size of the gap.

If it's less than 3/8ths" then just clean the gap, and seal it with silicone caulking.

There ya go!

Use a weatherproof caulking around all windows. Pay for the good stuff, it's worth it.
