E-mail or call the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Make sure you have his full name, date of birth, and Social Security number ready. (Personally, I'd call, as I've had NO luck with the TDCJ replying to my e-mails.) For reference, Austin is in Travis county. They may ask you the county. I'm not sure.

Go to one of the search engines and type in Texas Department of Corrections and then go to where they look up offenders on the offender search and type his name in and that should help you to get it.

just do a general search typing in texas state corrections inmate search. That should work

search.using the city name that he's in jail in,for instance:austin department of corrections or you can try austin sherrif's department. there will be buttons for currently incarcerated inmates.

google.com go there and type huston texas prisons.. then go through the web site.. you will eventually find names of them and be able to get their number!
