I'd have to say pirates, i've read Dan Brown and he's fantastic, just finished reading Angels and Demons it's far better than The da vinci code, but i don't know they seem to lose something when they get to the big screen.

Pirates by far,

the book the da vinci code was MUCH better than the movie, the movie did a decent job following it but it just wasn't as good if you've read the book. Pirates on the other hand wasn't based on a book (yay for disney rides) and therefore does not have the same comparisons. Also it was funnier, had better locations, and better fights.

The Pirates, of course! The Da Vinci Code was so boring, and you can't understand it if you haven't read the book.

I prefer "Pirates of the Caribbean", because they simply butchered the book "The Da Vinci Code."

pirates was da best...the da vinci code book kinda ruined the movie for me. I like going into a movie and not knowing whats gonna happen next.
Plus Johny Depp was so funny I cant stop thinking of him being chased by the natives hehehe
