Register everything you post to Egypt and put the name and telephone number of the recipient on the parcel/envelope. I do this and all my mail has reached the proper people without any problems.

Egyptian customs normally open each and every package sent into Egypt, even by courier. Taking it woyuld be a better option!

What do you mean safe? How can you come to harm posting a package, of course it's safe.
Yes it is an option if that's what you want to do.
