If you undo system restore, you're also getting rid of restore points that may have been corrupted with whatever virus/trojan/worm, etc that you picked up. That's why it's recommended that when you're getting rid of a virus that you undo system restore, reboot into Safe Mode, run your anti-virus program, make sure the virus is now gone, boot regularly, and then start up system restore again.

System restore restores to an earlier time BEFORE the problem. If you undo that, you will resume the problem.

Yes. Just be sure to save important items before doing a system restore. It is only supposed to affect system programs but I have seen other things back out too.

When you do a system restore, it restores your computer back a certain number of days, weeks, etc.

Any changes to the system (eg a program installation) would be undone.

Files and folders would be left on their own

Understand?

Answer to your question, yes.
