The American people. Our leader just tell us they are for small government to appeal to the masses. Its all a lie. Look how big the government is today with all the new bureaucracy put in place after 9/11. Its all BS. If you hear what you want to hear over and over again you will believe. They brain wash us with TV and propaganda on both sides. The government is very smart and they do not want American having independent thought, so they keep us scared and tell us that they will protect us while at the same time taking away our civil liberties with the Patriot Act. Its a slow proccess but soon they will make us powerless and then we will be in serious Shi*. Just my opionion I could be wrong and everything is just hunky dory, I guess time will tell

it rather is for stable reason. smart human beings are not arguing approximately length of government, yet over what, precisely, government ought to or shouldn't do. people who think of, working example, slashing each little thing are morons that don't care if slashing necessary centers kills or maims thousands and thousands of individuals. it rather is not any longer approximately length, yet approximately functionality: ward off the wealthy and useful from screwing every physique else over (stealing our money, poisoning us, etc.); furnish necessary centers and courses we could no longer have in any different case (working example, if all study is employer-funded, then ALL is barely achieved to make the wealthy richer, and none of it on issues that ought to be researched; and the wealthy very own all of the advantages of study -- for this reason, government ought to fund slightly prognosis). smart, effectual government is stable; no government, or idiotic or pointless government are undesirable. it rather is purely no longer approximately length.
