my car needs new brakes and i cant afford it. i transport my grandchildren daily and need a safe car

Call the county and see if there are any grants or programs that could be of help. They do weatherization of homes and things like that. If they don't, go to a couple of repair shops and explain your plight. You might find a kind hearted owner who would do it for the cost of parts only.

there are some charitys that help with this in Alaska, im sure there are the same in texas... especially if you are the sole source of transportation for your grandchildren... just check around, there are even churches that will help with this and if you or your husband is a veteran, try some of the veteran organizations as well

Well cars generally need front brakes instead of back ones.Cheap front brakes are not that expensive.If you don't replace them they will eventually destroy your rotors,then you'll have to buy them also.Call your local parts store and tell them the yr make and modle of your vehical and ask how much the cheapist front brake pads are.
