when i was 10 it was day of holiday for me but now i am proud to say that i am an indian and we r celebrating our independence day tommorow but sometimes i think so many people gave their lives for independence but our country is still a developing country and so much poverty , unemployment but still we will develop it will take years but we will .so happy independence day to every one . please don't buy flags if u want to throw them later after the independence day because in this way we dishonour our indian flag

I'm from kerala. I am excited. Because tommorow is the special day for us, Indians. The other contries can spread the news like "Tommorow explotion will take place in india". In my opinion, that are flase information.
So tommorow we, the indians don't have any kind of fears. Before 60 years we were under britten, but we fought and took our freedom back.
I have to say that tommorow we want to celibrate...........

Yes, I am glad we are no longer under the British Rule.
I am also glad that there is a new economic boom. However, the economic growth has not trickled down to the poor yet.
The shameful caste system is prevalent all over India.
In spite of increased number of people receiving education from solid educational institutions, Indians are one of the backward people in the world who hold on to irrational superstitions.
India is still ruled by dynasties. In many parties the president will continue to be just the founder and later his nominee. We have quite a ways to go before we can be jubilant.

Being an Indian citizen, I was excited and is. But in spirits only, since the practical applicability the way we see presently is not that enthusiastic.
