Try more Hayao Miyazaki movies: Spirited away, Castle in the sky, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery service, etc... (personally, spirited away is my favorite)
If not that, try Hamtaro, Pokemon (the 1st series), or Mojacko. ^.~

this ugly yet beautiful world. youll love that anime. its a mini anime like 12 episodes, but youll love it. Also try Ranma 1/2.
