Isn't it funny that nobody on this page wants to be responsible for what they supported on the Neocon side. What is more disturbing is that over 20,000 of those boys came back alive with no arms and legs, blind, paralyzed and will have to be cared for the rest of their lives....This is the Neocons American Patriotism at it's best, while they cut the VA benefits for their precious tax breaks, and ridicule the disabled they contributed too.

Let me answer that question with another question... who wants to be minding their own business at work and end up having to jump 100 stories to avoid being burned alive by jet fuel?
You need to get real and study what we're fighting for, and not be listening to all that liberal jibberish.
By the way, anyone noticed that Cindy Sheehan did not get involved with protesting the war until her own son died? What is her message? That the sacrifices of other soldiers did not warrant her objection? Sheesh! Talk about hypocrits!

My sympathy does not lie with the soldiers - they signed up for this war without questioning or debate. They want our "support" which they have received in the form of bumper sticker slogans. But, someone has to pay for this - the taxpayer. Not to mention our diminished power in respect to the rest of the world.

You are an insensitive, dispicable biped. Why would you even say this? Obviously you are too much of a coward to participate in the military...
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of patriotic feeling that believes nothing is worth war, that nothing is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature, and he has no chance to be free except by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Steward MIlls.
You're a sick coward.... you aren't worth of the freedom and heritage of sacrifice granted to you by others.

Not me that's for sure. Sympathy extended to Johnny 5. Sounds like you should ask him what it's really like. War is a terrible thing that hurts many in ways that cannot be helped.

No one wants to die. I agree that the war is stupid and is most likely doing nothing to end terrorism, but lets not make light of death. Some people join the military because they believe that they are doing something good. Sometimes our government sends our troops to stupid wars. I blame the government, not the troops.

Enlisted people know going into it that that is a consequence. So, who wants to be the next coward who doesn't stand up for his country, countrymen, or himself?

war is hell on Earth, make no mistake. War is about killing.
The only way to avoid killing is not to make war.
No matter what we do, no matter how many are killed in the Republican war, Iran will control Iraq in the end and the civil war there will never stop.
