I am wearing pants with my Can Can dancer fancy dress but is it true b/f John says they didn't have anything on underneath? I mean they used to do high kicks?

I have always understood that can can dancers wore
frilly knickers under their dresses .even in France were of
course this style of dancing was most prevalent.

It depends. Reputable dance groups that do the can-can do wear something underneath. When the people went to the adult shows and they did the can-can, they didn't wear anything.
