I have a 6 month old 3.5 briggs and strat push mower and after about 5min of mowing it starts to kill like its running out of gas. wait about five minutes it cranks right back up. then it will do again sometimes it will run for 20 min before it wants to kill. i was thinking maybe bad gas, but everything seems clean and in the right place.....

Check to make sure the vent int the gas tank cap is not plugged. Sometimes if the cap vent is plugged the engine will run for a while but starts to create a vacuum in the tank and not be able to suck the fuel. After sitting, enough air seeps in to allow you to restart. Another possibility is the coil is going bad and when things get hot it stops making spark. To check this, check for spark immediately after the engine quits. If no spark then it may be the coil.

Have you checked the spark plugs and what not? Like the guy above me said, maybe it's the air filter or even the fuel filter.

BTW: Briggs And Stratton make air cooled engines.. not mowers

Check your air filter... it sounds like it's dirty and clogged-up.
