For me it's their long skinny legs and when they are on the ceiling and start moving. I don't mind some spiders though. If they have longer bodies and short legs they don't bother me.

I am not afraid of the ones that build webs (unless my face walks into a web) but the ones that run real fast and catch their prey that way seem a little scarey. However, they are rare.
I think the scariest are the funnel web spiders. Have you ever seen those? They are the ones that build the webs in low bushes and shrubbery that taper down to a hole in the web and then the spider hides in that little tunnel and when something disturbs the web it runs out and pounces on it?
I was trying to tease the spider out by dropping a grasshopper on his web and it wasn't responding. I reached down to poke the grasshopper to make him move some more when suddenly this large black spider ran out of the dark funnel across the web to my hand. I jerked my hand back in time but I was frightened.

I'm scared of really big bodied spiders. Oh, and the ones with thick legs. They just seem so much spookier that way. The bigger the spider the louder my scream.

They just creep me the **** out! Hate those things!!! Have had a couple of bad experiences with them as well. Will never forget being at Girl Scout camp and finding a Daddy Long Leg inside the top of our tent in the middle of the night. EWWWW!!

They are just creepy to me. I mean, the fuzzy legs, body, the beady eyes, the fact that they bite. ARGH!
The WORST part of Lord of the Rings for me was that scene with the GIANT spider. To this day, I can't watch that scene without my hands in front of my face.

One spider alone does not scare me. It's when they come in numbers (like in the movie Arachnophobia). That makes me nervous.

all of it! it scares me a lot! the look, the 8th leg, the eyes, the hairy body, the venom,... no matter the spider big or small.. it do scares me!!

They are so easily in hiding. Who knows when one will jump out, or you walk into a spider without knowing where it is.

Everything... but if I had to pick just one thing about them that most drives my phobia, I would have to go with the fact that they exist, since if they stopped existing, I would no longer fear them.
