Don't necessarily need an address (I'm near Toronto), just ideas on a place. My best idea to this point is to rent a cheap motel room in a nice region ... near lakes and a town etc. Any better suggestions?

I might suggest that rather than renting a hotel room, you select a nearby bed-and-breakfast. Rates are generally reasonable, and the people are friendly. There, you may also find the peacefulness and privacy you need to complete your task. Good luck to you in your endeavors, and hopefully, I can read [your book] at some point in the future.

I'd find a reasonable bed and breakfast, the atmosphere is better than a motel. Also, if you have a relative who would be willing to put you up for a weekend...that's always a possibility. Just make sure that they understand you're there to write and not spend huge amounts of time visiting!

Depends on what you're writing. If I wanted to be more introspective, I'd find woodsy type place that's quiet to sit and think.

If I were writing a story involving people, I'd find a quaint little town with small quiet cafes.

Prague or Dublin very common, and the two low priced flightwise. Sorry on no account been to the two myself so can not remark individually, yet friends who've been value the two very rather. desire you have a reliable time everywhere you opt for.
