*the population explosion is driven more by the economically disadvantaged who have neither the resources or means to be educated about family planning...so i guess the simple answer would be because wealth is so unevenly distributed in this world

unprotected sex? promiscuity? Some may be in love and want a baby. For the stars of Hollywood, it seems to be the thing to do right now. Some of the people becoming parents in Hollywood have me puzzled because they don't seem like the Mommy or Daddy type.

well there are many reasons. Time of war seem to have that effect on people. Younger kids having sex and not being smart enough to protect themselves yet. People seem to be more in the instant gratification, if they do not have protection why wait who cares they say.

Well some of us do not have televisions, yet some of us just feel the need to bring children into the world and love them, teach them good morals, right from wrong, strong and independent character.

I am not seeing it that. I got puzzled by your question. I have just looked at the statistics and I can not see any scientific basis for it, at least in Europe. It could be a local phenomena that you are observing.
