After seeing and experiencing Israel's reaction to two kidnapped soldiers are the countries in the ME not entitled to want to remove the threat to peace in their region? If we had such a country in the Americas wouldn't we want to obliterate them? After all JFK was prepared to wipe out Cuba if the Soviets planted Nukes in that country.

Hebrew Hammer, You apologists for Israeli murder show yourselves to be the most disingenious and dangerous propagandists this world has ever known. The USA has been arming Israel all through this conflict, but you want to come on here and LIE as ou people have been doing throughout history. Now read this from the BBC not (FAUX NEWS) and reappraise your comments. You people are a danger to yourselves and the rest of the thinking world.

More than enough people have been killed in the Middle East in the last month, and none of the parties involved has strengthened its position. Indeed they are all in a weaker position. What more proof do you want that war does not work?
It's time for some genuine diplomacy involving ALL the parties concerned in the Middle East.

Remove the threat to peace by declaring war and trying (most likely, unsuccessfully) to destroy Israel? What you don't understand (or perhaps refuse to understand) is that all Israel wants to do is to survive. Any action it takes is in response to a threat to its survival. It's difficult to not respect a country which values its citizens so much as to react in the way that it did to the kidnapping of its soldiers.
You can't have forgotten that Hezbollah did kidnap its soldiers, but did you know that it happened in a border raid in which eight other Israeli soldiers were killed? And that Hezbollah rockets were fired at an Israeli city at the same time to distract the defense forces?
Your mindset IS the threat to peace. Quite simply, if everyone would just leave Israel alone, there would be peace. What you're advocating is war to then make peace when it's totally unnecessary.

I have never read such a badly worded question with such a nonsensical supporting argument. Your ignorance of American and Cuban history in relation to the Soviet missile episode is astonishing.
To compare Israel with Cuba in this context is simply stupid.
USA is not planting missiles in Israel in order to intimidate or provoke another country. It is the other way around. Hezbollah has more comparison to Cuba, as Iran is supplying missiles and rockets to Hezbollah, a state within a state. And whats more Iran has the renegade Nuclear Armaments programme.
Perhaps your question should be: "Why shouldn't Israel and USA want to remove the threat to PEACE in the region?"

Shouldn't Jews want to wipe out any threat to them in their historical homeland? Matter of fact, if the Jews had killed them all off like God told them to, they wouldn't be having this trouble.
Hezbollah picked this fight, a Muslim always does. Then they cry foul when Israel bites back. The Jews just want to live, prosper and be left alone. The Muslims can't seem to handle that, because they are hateful, blood-thirsty, savage killers who care nothing for human life. May God continue to bless Israel. Remember, only the Jews can make the desert bloom.

Yes, of course everybody should behave exactly as the US. The US is the way! How could it be otherwise? Surely that is the natural order of things...
By the same line of argument, why should Israel not be entitled to neutralise terrorism in their area...especially as many of the countries bordering Israel have, at some stage, agreed that they shall not rest until every Jew is wiped off the face of the planet...
Then again, if you are a Muslim, everybody else is an infedel and abomination to Allah, but if you're a Christian, you just KNOW that yours is the correct faith and you should be actively spreading the word and recruiting everybody...even Jews, who have graciously been forgiven by the Catholics for killing Christ, as they have probably suffered enough for it that God is willing to accept them again.
Or here's an idea... why don't you all just agree to disagree, get on with your lives - complete with your funny little prayers to your imaginary friends - oops, I mean Gods - and leave everybody else the Fuckk alone! Especially as you all claim your religion is one of peace.
Funnily enough, I cannot think of an occasion of anybody being killed in the name of atheism... just a thought.

I rather think you have got it the wrong way round. Its Israel i think that wants peace and the Arabs want to blow them to kingdom come. Why didn't they just hand the two soldiers back?Because Syria and Iran wanted a confrontation with Israel but wanted somebody else to do the fighting for them.As for Cuba watch 10 Days in October with Kevin Costner you will be surprised.

Listen to yourself!! Now think Iraq!! And they did nothing to us! If Hezbollah killed 4 of our soldiers and kidnapped 2 inside the US you would be screaming to wipe them out!!
JFK didn't want to wipe out Cuba, his generals did and he said no! He had been burned once listening to the military toilet-water princesses about the the Bay of Pigs! He wasn't going to take their advice a second time!

It is Iran & Syria who are the threat to peace. It is Hezbollah that had thousands of offensive rockets. Hezbollah should be eliminated to last fanatic. Then there would be a lilklihood of peace.
