I have around 250 beanies, mostly dogs and all in mint condition, collected from 1997. They aren't selling on Ebay, maybe I should keep them until the value goes up again??

I think it might be best and wait until they become more collectible; but only if you have the space to do this, and don't mind dusting them to keep them clean!
You may be able to get info on their value if you join the following club on line:

here is another suite you may find helpful:

Another possibilty might be to try getting them valued by a local auction house where you might be able to sell them as a whole collection for a good price,

Hope this helps:>)

I'd hold onto them. Wrap them up individually and store them somewhere damp free and in years to come they may be worth a lot of money. I bought some from a car boot sale and the man selling them was practically giving them away for 50p each which is a waste of money. Because people have been collecting them on a massive scale at the moment they aren't worth a lot. Some of them are I've heard but I'm not a collector so I don't know.

Im sure many people told you not to invest your hard earned money on stuffed animals thinking they were gonna have any value at all in the future. You will never sell them for what you have in them, and if you look at this terrible investment closer you could have done so much more with your money, avg beanie was around $10 you have 250 that is $2500 if you would have invested $2500 in platnium in 1997 you now would have $17,800 if you would have invested in silver you would have $7500 gold you would have made $12,000 instead you spent $2500 on stuffed toys full of beans... Average beanie baby collector lost $1,800 when the market colapsed.
