Cicadas.
Many people mistakenly call Cicadas, Locusts.
But Locusts are just big Grasshoppers.
The only correct answer is Cicadas, Katydids do not make noise during the day, they only make their chirping noise at night. Katydids are also another species of Grasshopper.
Crickets also only make noise at night.
Cicadas is the answer.
