vitamins are good for you but, when you start taking them you have to take them loyally everyday for you to fill the difference. You cant take them one day then not the next. You also need to make sure they are the right ones for you. Have a check up done first with your doctor to see what would be the best type for you

Kinda' yes. But there is a big difference and quality, and more isn't always better. There are some nutrients that have shown real benefits, such as omega 3's or specific Carotenoids such as Lycopene (great for your prostate) or Lutein (really reduces macular degeneration). I'd stay away from pre-formed vitamin A (retinols). Too much Vitamin E probably isn't good, but look for ones with mixed tocotrienols and tocopherols, instead of just D-alpha-tocopherol.

oh... I could go on.

It depends on your diet and the quality of the foods you eat. That's why they're called "supplements." They are meant to supplement your diet.

I prefer whole food products, like Seasilver, Body-Balance, etc. There are no vitamins that exist in nature by themselves. So, whole food vitamin supplements are usually best.

Deffinatly! From not taking them you're not getting many of the nutrients you should be getting! You could suffer from osteoperosis, arthritus, and many other problems from missing out on ur vitamins! I deffinatly encourage all of my pacients to take them!

Only in natural form -- in normal times and pills only if down and out.
