It would probably be safe. The absorption through the skin is minimal, and it shouldn't affect the milk. At 18 months, your baby is eating other foods in addition to the breast milk, so his consumption is low. If you are unsure, call and ask your pediatrician's office.

Hi-

I would think that bleaching would be fine at 18 months. You should do it when you child is not around to touch your face or inhale the fumes (maybe nap times!)

I couldn't find anythings that could support this, but when in doubt i generally follow the rule of thunb that if its bad during pregnancy, its bad during (active) breastfeeding..with some exceptions.

From India.Parenting.com
Bleaching your face and hands without consuming the bleaching agent should not cause any harmful effect to the baby's growth and development.

From http://www.vhi.ie/topic/pregnancy/midwife/qa_184.jsp
There is no evidence to suggest that facial hair bleach is harmful during pregnancy.

Probably not. And the Quran reccommends breast feeding until 2 years. Many children your child's age are not on solids (nor should most be) and formula is unnatural and not as healthy. I don't think you should personally because breast feeding, depending on how much your child eats, burns hundreds of calories. Not to mention the calories you burn regularly anyway. Assuming you will probably go at least 10 hours until eating and you only get one meal probably before you go to bed, after a few days, you would feel extremely famished and possibly have complications from it.

Stop breastfeeding. 18 months is too old.
