It really depends on how much you try to enjoy your pregnancy. For me, was just telling my husband last night that in a way it seems my pregnancy flew by. Even though I have been on bedrest since 22 weeks, I feel time has been going pretty quickly. This is my 2nd pregnancy as my first was an infant loss at 24 weeks. Maybe that is what makes me appreciate the time I have being pregnant and as far as I have gotten. I am getting anxious to meet my son, but want him to come out as healthy as possible.

heck no, it doesn't go by any faster!!! just the opposite, in fact. other commenters are right that you're in a good time period right now, assuming your bump isn't overly big yet. 2nd tri is the best out of the three. towards the last few weeks, you'll be way less mobile and have to pee every 2 minutes, and those two things work against each other. personally i had a hard time sleeping at night, very uncomfortable to turn and the sciatica and braxton-hicks certainly did not help. neither did being a few days late.
yes, it's important to keep busy and stay occupied if you can. if i had to do all over again, i would have continued working (at least part time, if possible) up until a few days before the onset of labor. having too much free time just prolongs the misery.
but hey, once it's outta you, you'll feel great (relieved of the heavy load)! but then again, the sleep deprivation and everything else will take a physical (and mental) toll on you. but the end result will be worth it. hang in there!
good luck!

Sorry, babe, but it always seems to drag out towards the end. I'm 38 weeks along now and for the past couple of weeks everyone has been looking at my stomach saying "any day now, huh?" or "aren't you pretty close?"
And that's how you'll start feeling in the last month or so. It's like delivery day will never arrive and towards the end you start wondering "will I go into labor today?" Ask yourself that for days on end and it gets monotonous!
But not to be totally negative....LOL. I'm impatient for this baby to arrive, but I'm also thinking of how it will be to not be pregnant and feel those little kicks and squirms and have people smile when they see your round belly. It's a very amazing time and right after the baby comes you will feel as if it flew by.
Ironic, huh?
My husband and I were talking today about how you have to wait a long time for a baby, but maybe God knew what He was doing because it gives mom and dad and everyone else time to adjust to the idea of it all. Imagine if you were told you were pregnant and then days later a baby was born! It would be pretty overwhelming. And I'm convinced that all the sleep you lose during pregnancy prepares you physically and mentally for the sleep you lose when the baby comes. Everything seems to serve a purpose.
I get up now 3-4 times a night to pee and in a few weeks I'll be getting up 3-4 times a night to do feedings! My body has already adjusted to getting less sleep, and getting sleep in smaller amounts.
Congrats on your pregnancy!

I'm on week 31 of my 2nd pregnancy. It does not go by any quicker, as much as I think most of us would want it to. You end up feeling like you are lugging your belly around, its in the way, clothes don't fit right. But the really cool part, is how much your baby moves around, plus being able to actually see the baby trying to kick through your stomach. You hit that tired phase one more time, and it lasts a little longer. Keep your feet up as much as possible, since it helps to limit the swelling of your feet, which can become very uncomfortable. Your best bet is to keep yourself preoccupied with something else.
Good luck!

You cant really say that it gets worse because the things that happen to you start to change. Swollen feet, back aches, being really tired, may not have happened to you in the beginning. With an exception of being really tired. The weeks tend to go by fast for some women and for others slower. It just depends on you.

hell yeah i wanted to be induced so badly the last month i stopped working and all i did was lay around. the last couple of weeks i couldnt even enjoy that i just tossed and turned all night and daay.. heads up lay on your left side because the vena cava is on the right but you can alternate just dont lay that way permanently and stay off your back when sleeping it causes less oxygen to get to the baby... also you should subscribe to baby talk it tells you everything about everything it free for the first year www.babytalk.com Good luck ad keep yourself busy

youre in a nice period now. towards the end my symptons came back, the nausea and tiredness. If you think you want it over with now, wait until the last 3-4 weeks when you are really swollen.

I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks, so I think for me the beginning seemed like it took forever! The last couple of months just flew by and the due date just crept up on us. My husband thought so too.

if you keep yourself busy it will go by fast. it probably gets worse towards the end because the baby is getting bigger and waiting to come out. Hope all goes well. Congrats.
