No. I usually ask questions about something my boyfriend and I were arguing about or about guiding and rearing children. I try not to post questions I know everyone has seen before because that makes it so boring. Sometimes I have searched for hours just to find a good question to answer and end up going to bed instead. :) I do prefer answering questions to asking though. I like the feeling of being able to help someone.

good question. i always wanted to ask about points, too. i mean, some people write really stupid answers just to get the points. my message to whoever reads this is: Yahoo answers is a place to help people, the points tell how helpful you've been. you shouldn't misuse this service. As for the question above: no i'm not stingy. Who cares about points if you KNOW you helped others and are getting help from them in return??!!Well done kitty star.

i know my English is terrible but i really hope you get what i mean.

No, but I sometimes get some very insulting answers even to questions I don't feel are offensive. That tends to make me avoid asking questions sometimes. I was called a moron for asking for help training my Mustang. I was told to stop using my hand and get a girlfriend when I ask for help repairing a computer (I'm a heterosexual female, so I really don't want a girlfriend and I don't know what that has to do with computer repairs). I would rather answer questions based on my knowledge and experience.

I agree with the sentiment here. I love asking questions that are going to give people a laugh or think about themselves. I always get someone saying I have "wasted" pts on that question. Not true I like to think I have reached out to someone I'll never meet and seen inside their head. Worth 5 pts anyday.

Hell no I love asking questions, and giving answers. Thats the whole point of Yahoo Answers isn't it? I like points, but this web site isn't called Yahoo Points.

Who cares about the points? I've already asked like, 100 questions and I'm still growing strong. :)

I ask them when I run out of questions to answer.....I don't mind losing the points, I'd just rather answer other people's questions than ask my own.

No, if I really have something to ask I'll ask it. You really only loss 2 pts anyway because you earn 3 pts back for picking best answer. It's crazy to be that obsessed with points.
