Like all other things in life, it is about balance. If you spend life trying to be happy without consideration for others, you will be miserable. In the same respect, if you spend life helping others without taking care of yourself, you will also miss out.
I know that I am generally easy to satisfy so it may look like it's all about others, but I find that a well balanced life will bring peace and happiness.

Hello.
For me, I try to make it all about others. I believe in the Golden Rule in which you do onto others that which you would like done onto you. If you help others, good things should happen to you. That is not always the case. When I help others, I feel a sense of joy, so that actually helps me, too. So, if it's all about others, indirectly, it is all about me, too.

I guess that depends on the situation. I work with children who have behavioral and/or emotional problems, I volunteer as a coach for Special Olympics, and I assist as a teacher with the church youth groups. When it comes to those areas, I'm all about the other individuals I'm helping. When it comes to meal times, it's all about me. Get out of my way!
