Arriving home from work yesterday, the Trojan.Ducky had started significant unpleasantries to the P.C..
Much to my dismay, I had to re-install WIN. XP.
I was hoping to have a bit more time to try most of your ideas. I appreciate your Answers.
Thank You. :)

You can't always stay virus proof. Today it's Trojan tomorrow it will be another and the day after yet another. It all depends on your luck. Sometimes you will be able to remove them and sometimes nothing will work because the virus would be the latest version.
I suggest you take the back up of all your data on to CD's, DVD's or an external hard disk (leaving the virus infected and system files) and then format the COMPLETE PC.
After that make 3-4 partitions with about 10-15GB space (i.e. minimum) allocated to C Drive.Rest of the space may be equally distributed to other drives. Do not ever keep any data in C Drive. Leave C Drive for system files and folders only. So next time it is easier for you to format the drive in case you are not successful in removing the virus.
Keep dump files of various softwares in another drive, say, drive D.
Create a bmp image( I hope you know how to) in the folder of each S/W and write the Key nos. on it boldly. In thumbnail view, you will be able to read the key no. without bothering to open the image. You can use the dump files for installing the softwares after the formatting. This way the installations are faster and you keep your CD's in good shape. And in case you spoil the CD, you have a back up already on your PC.
I am sure, you will be wasting less time in formatting the PC and installing various softwares all over again then trying to find a solution for stubborn and new viruses.

It's a problem I just went through myself, and unfortunately, I too had to reinstall windows. Some virus are difficult if not impossible to remove. Just make sure you are running a top rated anti-virus program and ask for help on the Internet. If all that fails you must clean out your hard drive next time before reinstalling windows, because if you don't the virus will still be there and you will continue to have the problem and run the risk of spreading the virus to other PC's on the internet.

Go to www.avast.com
Download the Home version of their software. Download the latest update as well. Register the software. Free lifetime updates. Install the program. Install the update if needed. Reboot. It'll scan after it completes the POST routines.

Don't you have an antivirus program like McAfee or Norton?
If not, you are jumping without a net.
With WindowsXP firewall on, an antivirus program, and above all - your common sense as to where you are going and what you open - you shouldn't run into this. I do hope you have an AV you can run. Good luck.

Check for spyware. Run both Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections.
