Hey!
Not sure but I think that the ones we
love the most are the ones we let in our hearts
and open up to the most. This is always a risky
proposition and this can lead to mental defenses
and attack strategies that may not be there
with just a friendship or casual relationships.

It's like we want to be loved but don't get to close.
If you get too close and really know me I may
possibly feel vulnerable and you could hurt me
so I will hurt you more than I would someone else.

I don't have any emotional ties to a regular friend so naturally I wouldn't hurt anyone on that level. It's where there are emotional ties/issues involved that the possibility of hurting others can happen.

or maybe we know we can. We might not consciously and deliberately hurt those we love but we know we can lash out at them---from our pain inside we lash out--so we can feel better by releasing it and knowing that they're our loved ones they will forgive us.

dunno for sure but those are my guesses. :))

thanks for your thoughtful question

its because that they know that we love them and so do we, sometimes it is out of love that we in/directly hurt them. sometimes it could be out of emotion that we couldnt control. in any case, they are the ones closest to us n therefore, the impact would be greater.
