I dunno about the country as a whole, but a lot of little-known and long-forgotten state and local laws can get damn amusing.
Like, there's a city law (I forget where) that deems it illegal for a man to have sex with a virgin at any time. (Even if it is their wedding night.)

I found this out several weeks ago. Here in this country ( UK )
a law was passed in the 1980's that states, we, ie. the public can use reasonable force to repel an alien attack. This begs the question, does the government know something we don't?

In several states in the U.S. there is still a law on the books stating that it is illegal to have sex in position other than "man on top". There are also still anti-sodomy laws still active. Legislating how people have sex in the privacy of their own homes, or wherever, is just plain wrong!

I heard that there is a law in the UK which states a policeman must give a pregnant lady his hat to pee in if she needs to! wierd!
Also, killing swans is an act of treason to the Queen.

The British legal system has been changed where before if you were found not guilty in trial by jury now you can be taken back to court and the trial can be heard until you are found guilty !!!!!

in america u can drive when ur 15 smoke when ur 18 n drink wen ur 21 wats up wit that, in england u drive wen ur 17 smoke wen ur 16 an drink at 18

I think in Chester, UK, it's perfectly legal to shoot a Welshman with a longbow from the city walls at a certain time on a certain day. Cool, huh?

well - according 2 a local policeman its law in my town that all boys should practise archerie in the town square every sunday afternoon.
we dont even hav a town square
