As long as she swallowed it properly and doesn't have bits stuck in her throat, she should be fine. She will just pass it through like usual, nothing to worry about. Paper is really thin and will have turned to pulp already, so it probably won't harm her. If you want assurance, call her doctor, and explain what happened. You don't actually need to take her to the doctor though, because she will be fine.

What was ON the paper? If just a plain piece of paper, fine, it will pass. Literally. But if you have any doubt about what chemicals were on the paper, call poison control. They will advise you what course to take.

If she is not coughing or choking than she is fine. It will come out of her eventually. It's just paper she will be fine. Kids do that as a small age they want to put everything in there mouth for a taste test.

It's paper, don't worry about it. It will pass through her digestive system without any fuss. If it was a quarter or a tack.. I'd say you're in for an E-Room trip.. but it's paper. Don't worry... she's going to swallow LOTS of stuff before she's 5... so you're going to have to get used to it.

What kind of paper?
If just your average everyday paper, your baby should be fine. Granted, I wouldn't let him/her make a habit out of it, as that could cause malnutrition later on. But one piece of paper won't hurt.

My granddaughter started chewing paper from the age of 6 months. Can't count how many she managed to swallow before we could go finger surfing to retrieve them. But they all came out in the end, if you get my meaning.
