right hello lisa as i see it there are a few options for you you can go to your gp and say that living in your current state is making you very depressed and agoraphobic you will find that the more you lay it on that living as a man is affecting your mental health the more they will help, it is indeed true that if the nhs does agree to put you up for treatment there is provisos that you must abide by but these will only help you on your way! you can also try getting loans there is so many companys that you can try i suggest sitting on the pc and applying for as many as you can to have greater chance of succeding you can use this money to have treatment overseas countries like germany and poland provide excellent medical care if you are paying for it! i know it is not ideal to have to pay back a loan but what will you not do to realise your dream of living on the outside how you feel on the inside once it is done its done and you can finally start being the person you have always felt you are on the inside! good luck! oh one more thing frederickf you speak a load of piffle and how can you love someone you dont know!

Hello
i love you but i think what you are trying to achieve is stupid and uncessary. You are being very selfish. There are many people dying out of hunger and thirst and u hust want money to have a sex change.
Please have a second thought and try and help someone with your money. Join World Vision or Global Giving.

I LOVE YOU BYE

Have you looked into lower cost treatment overseas? There are countries that specialize in this sort of thing, and have excellent doctors and facilities. In case you're not aware, Thailand has a great reputation for quality treatment at very reasonable prices. Anyway, just a thought. good luck!

I don't know the answer but I hope you will be forever happy after all that hard work when you get where you want.
In the meantime imagine you already are the beautiful woman you want to be and smile. That is 99% of the battle and it is for free.

I don't know what country you live in, but here in the UK you can get it for free on the National Health Service. Of course, you have to have counseling, living like the other sex for a year and maybe other sort of 'proof' that you really want this operation. But then they'll do everything.

Have you tried trying to love yourself the way your are, and trying to isolate the real reason that you detest yourself so much that you feel you need to change your sex. Before you go under the knife why not try a thearpist, good close friend, church? ...whatever happens i wish you all the best.

Talk to surgeons. Someone I used to know had surgery done (could afford to - just) but said that some surgeons will operate "pro bono", i.e. they will sometimes agree to perform surgery for a patient who cannot pay, if they believe it will benefit the patient significantly.

If you have Gender Identity Disorder you may be able to get it done for nothing but I think you need to go through lots of psychiatric evaluations before you are given that diagnosis.
