That's Democrat Senator DIANNE Fienstein of California, who said "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in". She is a hypocrite, with her own concealed carry permit. OK for her, wrong for everyone else? Democrat Charles Schumer is a New York Democrat. Rosie O'Donnell has a big mouth and a vicious agenda. Why should all of America be controlled by the New York and California radical left wing?

They do not understand cause and effect. Here are some quotes and thoughts.

“Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case of the Greeks and the Romans, and must be that of every free state.” – Thomas Jefferson

“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule of India, history will look upon the act of depriving a nation of arms, as the blackest.” – Mahatma Ghandi

“Gun control? It is the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters.” – Sammy the Bull Gravano

Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

“We did indeed know much about your preparedness. We knew that probably every second home in your country contained firearms. We knew that your country actually had state championships for private citizens shooting military rifles. We were not fools to set foot in such quicksand.”
– Japanese Admiral explains why Japan didn’t invade the US mainland in WWII.

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” – Thomas Jefferson

“Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own self-defense.” – Patrick Henry

Demystify Firearms, Teach Responsibility
The use, and training in the use of firearms, demystifies them. It also installs respect for them. If you are not taught this, then when you do get a gun as a young teen, your only training has been TV and video games, which is a scary thought. We as parents and adults need to communicate the responsible use of firearms to our children from a young age, and disparage those, and their families, who are irresponsible.

Why the family? It is the responsibility of the parents to bring their children up right. Those families that have children that use firearms criminally need to be impacted. They must be held to account

“Today’s liberals wish to disarm us so they can run their evil and oppressive agenda on us. The fight against crime is just a convenient excuse to further their agenda. I don’t know about you, but if you hear that Williams’ guns have been taken, you will know that Williams is dead.” – Walter Williams

(From another liberal Democrat who does not want to ban firearms:)

Those who do want to ban firearms are probably motivated by a collection of anecdotes. There are certainly places in the U.S. where a firearms ban WOULD result in a reduction of violent crime, and I think that an ideal solution would involve first forgetting about the "one size fits all" notion. That is, why should a homeowner in a rural community have to follow gun laws whose sole purpose is to prevent a teenaged gang member in the inner city from getting a gun? What in the world would make anyone think that those two situations have anything in common?

Of course the Democrats are largely unable to go in that direction because of the stranglehold of "identity politics": the notion that everything is about race and gender, and so a policy that affects blacks differently than it affects whites is out of the question to begin with. Until the Democrats overcome that problem, they will always have to fight uphill to win elections.

It may sound like I'm bashing Democrats - but remember that I think that Republicans are far worse, aligning themselves with a dangerous anti-American religious movement just for the votes. I'm just not interested in pretending that my own party is perfect: that's how you get soft in the middle (and in the head). You've got to challenge your own side to be better, and frankly, my side has a problem with the gun control issue and an even bigger problem with "identity politics".

When you first realize guns are bad news for living things and have a reverence for life, your first instinct is to eliminate the firearm. The people that carry knives into places such as bars tend to use them in a fight or argument to just frighten sometimes and let it known that they are bad news to leave them be. A rattle snake does the same to ward off all but his prey. In this day and age things have got beyond civil disagreement and low life will kill and brag about it. Police are there to carry out the policy of the mayor, or whoever is in political power at that time and can not be counted on to protect you from these scumbags. So therefore if you want to survive and protect your loved ones move to a safe harbor( tell me where) or check out self defense weapons and permits. if no then strengthen your faith in God and prayer. Liberals are wrong in my oppinion in preventing your self protection by supporting a ban.

I am a democrat, and I don't want to ban firearms. The thing is that guns used for hunting are one thing, but there are too many guns available to felons and gang members on the streets. I am not talking about rifles or .22 pistols. I am talking about semi-automatic or automatic weapons that no one is trekking around in the woods hunting with. No normal person needs or should have a weapon like that.

Not all of them do and there are Conservatives that also think the should be banned too. I feel that firearms are not the problem it is certain people that use them that are. Guns do not kill people people kill people with or with out fire arms

I am a Democrat, & I was raised with guns.
If we ever touched the guns, we were punished severely.
We respected our father & his rules, & didn't touch the guns.

My older brother taught me to shoot, he was a State Policeman & knew to respect firearms.

VERY few of the 'newer' generations have that respect & dicipline in their homes & lives.

How many children have been shot in schools, in alleys, in their own homes by their own family members????????

Some of realize that it isn't the gun that kills, it is the untrained, unskilled, unintelligent creatures who people this earth who kill intentionally otr unintentionally, because they have no dicipline, & very little intelligence.

We can't teach them respect & dicipline that their parents are supposed to teach them, so we have to make laws so they don't hurt other people.

I am not sure all Democrats do. The people you mentioned are extremists. I have a permit to carry a firearm in TN and in Florida the permit to carry dropped crime immensely.

It serve no good purpose for the good of mankind on planet earth.
Just self destruction with self annihilation of oneself on planet earth.
Unless you are an enforcement or military officers having the rights to carry arms for the security of the country.
Look at the violence and abuses of the dick, tom and harry doing things at their own whims and fancy on planet earth.
With the destruction of marine and wild-life too in becoming extinction which were vital for the survival of living human kind on planet earth.

Firearms are shooting deaths are directly correlated. The access to guns makes killings more likely. Statistics show that countries with easy access to guns suffer most killings from gun shots.

No guns, no shootings. Easy equation.

Of course, the argument from the pro-gun (or how i like to call it, pro-killing) lobby is that the 2nd amendment protects the right to own arms, but that amendment was written when we had to hunt for our food and protect us from bears when riding cross country.
