It's really funny that you ask this. I went to the library a few days ago. I wrote a little something about it. It goes as follows:
It was an unprecedented sense of freedom. I was brought to my immediate heaven; they warmed me up with a delicious set of stairs I gladly chose over the elevator. The steps held almost a rubbery feel and captivated the eye with a charming shade of blue. Its peaceful tone added a serene atmosphere. The flight ends at the entrance to my fortress of solitude. I broke free the chains of living and serving bigger purposes, dropping to a plateau of understanding. I found my element. The immediate sight of the sign saying, "fiction starts here" grabbed me, taking hold.
I could have been lost forever. I see row upon rows of books. Non-fiction. I think to myself, Philosophy! It was my main goal, yet was the last thing reached. Oh, I got lost many times. Lost in thought, lost in books, lost in realizations, lost in-between aisles, lost within the Dewey decimal system. Letters and numbers and authors and titles! It was surreal. I was awe-stricken; taken aback. My book. My book laughed with me! my muse danced through the aisles with me. I found myself depicted in books on writing. They wrote my plight for me to read.
My Dad brought me to things. We scoped it all out, high and low. Literature. Emerson, Whitman and Longfellow. You can learn a lot at a library. I found it hard to believe, at one point, that I still hadn't found philosophy. I sat down and read a few other things. Cycling books. I immersed myself in picking up quick details on everything in the world. I could easily have spent days lost. I resisted urges to just take a seat on the floor in the aisles. I resorted to leaning, and shifting, and spinning, and one accidental near trip.
Then I found the gold I dug for. Bottom shelf of the most obscure row. Descartes in eye-catching letters. Gasp! Kant, Locke, and the Reverence of Life with words about Goethe. It was my worldly haven. Still, I thought there had to be more! This was too limited. Aristotle, Hume and Plato. I needed more but would soon resign the idea. I went to find my cousin whom I had forgotten as I passed the doors threshold. To no avail. I returned to browsing. Then a yellow paper taped to the end of a row. Philosophy! Dewey decimal number! Tada!

I feel almost overwhelmed from all the possibilities to choose from!! I feel just like the proverbial kid in a candy store! Yes, I do believe that I could truly "live here forever"!!! :) There is no feeling compared to the excitement of learning something new, or delving into a topic that I currently have an interest in. Even the look, feel, and smell of a book excites me! What can I say...books are amazing! The only thing that could possibly add to my excitement upon entering a library (or book store), would be to hear thunder and rain outside, while I'm perusing my many book choices. :) Wow, I couldn't ask for a more perfect day!

I LOVE libraries and bookstores and any place filled with books!! I LOVE books!! :)
Libraries and bookstores are like second homes, for me, I spent years of my life in them. They are the places I visit the most, wherever I'm living, more than cinemas or theaters, more than anything! And they are some of the first places I visit when I travel to a different city. I know libraries in almost all the cities I ever visited, in different countries.
"I can live here forever"...That's it! ;)
Books were always my best friends, since I was a child. :)
I have thousands ~ literally ~ of books and am very sad that, for some life circumstances, I'll probably have to give up many of them, soon. If this happens, I'll make sure they will find a new home at a place where people ~ especially children ~ who doesn't have money to buy books, will enjoy them. There are places, in Brazil, called "community libraries", in poor neighborhoods, created and run by people who live there. I'll chose one or two of these places and donate my books to them, and hope they'll make other people smile and dream ~ like they did to me! :)

"I can live here forever!" and "This is a holy place.*I'm filled with reverence* Every time I go to the Chapters bookstore I never want to leave, I get all absorbed and it is no use for someone to attempt to speak to me because I wont hear them! I am too busy rushing around looking at all the books and I get lost in contemplation of which one to read. I love books!!!!

I feel like a little kid, getting to pick out the things I want most. My family spent a LOT of time at the public library when I was a kid, and now any quiet library feels like a place of shelter, quiet, solitude and comfort. And there are all my friends, waiting for me on the shelves.

Actually I hate library's...but I love books. I would rather own the books than go and take something out that I have to give back and that may just be missing some pages or something annoying. So it's probably more along the lines of:
"I want to own everything in here....**muahahahaha**....wonder if I could steal it? Think anyone would notice the missing building??"

I think. Ooo...what do I want to get this time. I always have a list of books that I want to read, but haven't gotten to yet. I also, usually wonder if the library has any new DVDs I haven't watched yet (they aren't the newest, but they are free and I can take 5 of them home at a time).

I want to take them all home with me, even if I am not going to read them, I love, love love books, although I haven't read much this summer.
I must say I get a good feeling also when I go to hardware stores or home improvement stores, there is just something about the vast number of possibilities of things that I could make with all their tools.

"It smells nice in here... Those computers are too loud. Why don't they get new ones? Sounds like a f*cking truck." - What I was thinking last time I was at the library. But I love libraries.

I love libraries. My local one is my favorite place after my home. Been working there for three years and plan on getting my MLS once I graduate. Libraries are great--peaceful and fun.
