Download Festival is always awesome. Just take a look at some of the bands that've played over past years:

Metallica
Megadeth
Slayer
Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath
Motorhead
Anthrax
Guns 'n' Roses
Slipknot
KoRn

That many great bands playing at the legendary Donington PArk makes for one of the best weekends ever
One of the best festivals ever. This year's wasn't too great but generally the Download Festival rocks the *** off any of the others

Prog In The Park. A progressive music festival that takes place in Rochester, New York on October 7th and 8th. This years show is headlined by The Flower Kings and Steve Howe of Yes.
It's an excellent festival that showcases some up-and-coming prog bands along with a few of your more established acts. If top-notch musicianship is your bag, this is the festival for you.

the best 1 ive been to in the last 3 years was T in the park this year, number 2 has to be the V festival and number 3 Glastonbury, but it all depends on how much drugs u take, women u sleep with and amount of time it takes you to recover when u get home, T in the park this year, took loads of everythin, came home with an STI and was off work for a week!!!!
