If we had a vote on this for everyone it would be back in a flash. With DNA and all the advances in evidence gathering I am willing to take the chance of us getting it right.

Yeah, we should bring back death sentences. For rapists, paedos, terrorists, mass murderers etc. Only if we have all the evidence and the person has been proven guilty 100000% then death sentence should be passed. Furthermore, I think the public or the victim's family should decide what sort of death they are to have, e.g. hanging, shooting, electric chair or whatever they think is suitable.

Only for people proven to have kidnapped and molested children, or who have molested children sexually, (regardless of whether or not they were kidnapped.)
When you talk about all these terrorist hijackers or anyone else who is supposed to be about to commit a crime or is supposed to have already committed a crime - they are innocent until proven guilty - and even then some inoocents get proven guilty - that's why in UK the death penalty was abolished.

It is not harsh enough. Some terrorists are ready to die for their beliefs, just killing them will not be a deterrent and may make the problem worse. We should give them proper life sentences, not the kind that just last for about 20 years, but the king that last until they die in prison.

Yes we should bring back hanging.However every time the question is brought up by our politician's the House Of Commons veto's it because they say that capital punishment is wrong.That is their opinion. We the public would vote overwhelmingly for capital punishment to be brought back so how dare the MPs,, that we voted for,go against our wishes and bring in laws that only suit themselves. They are there to represent us. and do what we tell them

Yes. CONVICTED terrorists, paedophiles, rapists, serial murderers and other assorted scum (like Rose West) should be hung. Why should we taxpayers pay to keep them in comfy prisons, fed, watered and cared for, able to take study courses, open university degrees (like Myra Hindley did) did, days out, recreational activities and the like? I really object to think of my tax money feeding and educating and keeping scum like that.
A piece rope is much cheaper.
If they are happy to murder us then they shouldn't whine when they have to face death for it.

I don't like the idea of the state - a state which has already given itself the right to lock me up without charge or trial - having the right to kill me too.

I am all for the death penalty in the UK. It would help to clear out the jails!
I also want to see castration for convicted paedophiles.
And as for muslim extremists, if caught...ram bacon down their throat until they suffocate! No promised land for you PAL!!!!
Sorry, my wife works in London, and the thought of her being blown up by some nutter who thinks he's going to the promised land makes me feel sick!
