The beautiful colors of the changing foliage in the fall (try October; book early). Antiquing. Bicycling or motorcycling, nice forested unspoiled countryside. Photography. Go to college. Mount Equinox is amazing, but you need good brakes on your car to drive to the top of this place (you are allowed to) and back, a pretty high mountain in s.w. VT. See exhibits related to the marble and granite industries. Hunting. Camping, picnicking, fishing. The State Fair at ? Rutland. Wonderful museum in Bennington, incl. genealogical resources, and great restaurants and boutiques in town. River kayaking. U.S. historically important sites, such as where the Green Mountain Boys were active, and the Bennington Monument. Birthplace of a couple of Presidents (? Arthur and Coolidge?). Factory/outlet shopping (Ben and Jerry's, quite a few others in ?Manchester or someplace around there).
