ive just fitted in my samsung SH-S162L dvd burner . ive upgraded the firmware from a disc but still it is not installed. wat drivers or things do i need to do so i can start using it ?

Its person-friendly actually, its a plug and play device. once you've a CD Rom put in then its damn person-friendly. merely disconnect the ROM and replace it with the DVD Burner or author with the same type of connections (they're same). you'll get your device up and operating. Else keep on with this, Open CPU'S left hand area. you'll see lot of wires. Out of those one will seem as if white joint cables that are broader in structure. those are records cables. provide one connection to the DVD Burner (the position you'll lot of spikes, the cable were given holes for it) and there are power cable coming by skill of your SMPS. typically Yellow and pink colored wires at the same time. Get one connection of this to the DVD Burner. placed pink wire on the interior area, so this may more effective wholesome actual. now you're executed. Did you connect all the cables to it, including the power source. It should light up when you turn your computer on. Otherwise, there's a very small wire that goes from the burner to the motherboard. It has 4 pins. Read the instructions to install the small wire.

Put the DVD-Burner into one of the CD-Slot/Bay. Use the IDE cable connect to the back of your DVD-Burner, and also connect the power cable to your back of your DVD-Burner. Once you done that, then you should able to use it. There no more require software or installation.

Look at the back for the jumper settings. You will se (M) Master, (s) slave and (cs) cable select. set your new drive jumpers to the same setting as the old drive or CD drive that you have replaced.

if your running two things on the same ide cable one needs to be master and the other slave
